Account & Data Deletion

This page explains how to request deletion of your Giggs account (Giggs is operated by Swypebites Pte. Ltd.) and the personal data associated with it.
How to request deletion
You can request account deletion in either of these ways:
- In the app: open Giggs, go to Profile → Settings → Delete Account, and confirm.
- By email: send a request from your account email address to dpo@giggs.club with the subject “Delete my account”. We may ask you to verify your identity before processing the request.
Requests are processed within 30 days. You will receive a confirmation once your account has been deleted.
What data is deleted
When your request is processed, we permanently delete the personal data that identifies you, including:
- Your name, email address, and phone number
- Your login credentials
- Your profile photo and any photos you uploaded
- Your contact and profile details
What data is retained (and why)
Some records cannot be fully erased because they are tied to work you have already completed and to other parties (such as the businesses you worked with) or are required by law. Where we must keep these records, we de-identify (anonymise) them so they are no longer linked to your personal identity. This includes:
- Records of shifts and jobs you completed, and related attendance records, retained in anonymised form for the integrity of the businesses you worked with.
- Payroll and payment records, which we are legally required to retain for tax and accounting purposes for up to 5 years (as required under Singapore law), after which they are permanently deleted.
Anonymised records contain no information that can be used to identify you.
