Work Profile Data (GiggPassport): Work history on the Platform, shift attendance records, ratings and reviews, verified skills and certifications, reliability metrics.
Event Organiser Data: Company name, business registration details, contact person information, billing details.
Usage Data: Login activity, device information, IP address, browser type, pages visited, features used, and interaction patterns.
Communications: Messages exchanged through the Platform, support enquiries, and feedback.
2. How We Collect Personal Data
We collect personal data:
- Directly from you when you register, update your profile, or communicate with us
- Automatically through your use of the Platform (e.g. usage data, cookies)
- From Event Organisers who provide ratings and feedback on your work
- From third-party verification services, where applicable
3. Purposes of Collection, Use & Disclosure
We collect, use, and disclose your personal data for the following purposes:
- Platform Operations: Matching SideGiggs with shifts, facilitating scheduling, enabling communication between Users
- GiggPassport: Building and maintaining your portable work reputation, including attendance records, ratings, and verified credentials
- Account Management: Creating and managing your account, authenticating your identity, processing payments
- Communications: Sending shift notifications, Platform updates, and service-related messages
- Improvement: Analysing usage patterns to improve Platform features and user experience
- Safety & Compliance: Verifying identity, preventing fraud, enforcing our Terms & Conditions, and complying with legal obligations
- Marketing: Sending promotional communications about the Platform (with your consent, where required)
4. Disclosure of Personal Data
We may share your personal data with:
- Event Organisers: Your name, profile photo, GiggPassport summary, and relevant qualifications when you apply for or are assigned to a shift
- SideGiggs: Event Organiser name, shift details, and workplace information for confirmed shifts
- Service Providers: Third-party vendors who assist with hosting, analytics, communications, and payment processing, bound by confidentiality obligations
- Legal Requirements: Government authorities or law enforcement where required by law or to protect our legal rights
We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
5. Cookies & Tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies to enhance your experience, remember your preferences, and analyse Platform usage. You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect Platform functionality.
6. Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. GiggPassport data is retained to maintain your work history and reputation. After account closure, we retain data as required by law or legitimate business purposes, after which it is securely deleted or anonymised.
7. Data Security
We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or alteration. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your Rights Under the PDPA
You have the right to:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal data
- Withdrawal of Consent: Withdraw consent for specific uses of your data (this may affect your ability to use certain Platform features)
- Data Portability: Request a copy of your GiggPassport data in a commonly used format

9. Transfer of Data
Your personal data is primarily stored in Singapore. If we transfer data outside Singapore, we ensure adequate protection in compliance with the PDPA.
10. Children's Data
The Platform is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If we become aware of such collection, we will promptly delete the data.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the Platform or email. Your continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
